Stage 2 of the expansion; planning is currently underway. We are working hard on grant funding applications, obtaining architectural drawings, and collaborating with Buffalo Trail Public School Division. This part of the expansion focuses on the daycare and adding to our current location. We are looking to fund an expansion that will include 36 new full-time daycare spaces, but also improve staff working conditions by adding actual admin offices (2), a staff breakroom, and a janitorial closet. If you have seen our current space, you know that the staff are taking their breaks in their vehicles, the Executive Director and the admin team share a kitchen (which is used for sanitization and as the storage room) as an office and, we don't have a janitorial space - supplies are shoved wherever we can find room.
As the Cabin moves forward with our future expansion, the first stage of moving the Out of School Program into the Kitscoty Elementary School and our collaboration with Buffalo Trail Public Schools has been a tremendous success. We thank Buffalo Trail Public School Division for their support in our program.
The Cabin is excited to announce that we are part of #ENBFuelingFutures program. Enbridge has awarded the Cabin $2500 towards STEM activities for both our Daycare and Out of School Care programs. This funding will support summer programming this year. Watch our website and facebook for updates on what the little creators discover.

BOX CITY! The Cabin hosted their first off-site Day Camp at the Kitscoty Legion so that the children could flex their engineering skills in a larger space! Using the Makedo kits, boxes, flashlights, glowsticks, and duct tape the children built BOX CITY! Check out the unique light in one "house" where the light up Thor Hammer makes a great lighting fixture! When done, they loaded up their houses with blankets, pillows and stuffies.
Did you know we host monthly movie nights at the Community Hall? Admission is Free, concession stand is cash only.
Thank you to Ten Tine Ventures Inc. for sponsoring our annual movie license for our Community Movie Nights!

Why do you like coming to daycare?
"Because it's fun!" ~ Aubrey, Age 5
"Because I can do the monkey bars and hang out with my friends!" ~ Payton, Age 6
"We play and I love class!" ~ Maren, Age 3
“In just a short time at the cabin, we have witnessed continued growth within our kids. They love daycare and always look forward to going there to see all their friends. Our youngest gets especially excited as he feels like he is “going to school” just like his sisters. The cabin staff always provides an upbeat, inviting, safe, interactive, and inclusive space for our kids to engage in age appropriate activities both indoors and outdoors. We also love the daily reports and pictures at the end of the day. We are so grateful to be a part of the Cabin 4 Kids crew.”
